Service

Everyone can be great... because anybody can serve.  You don't have to have a college degree to serve.  You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve.  You only need a heart full of grace.  A soul generated by love.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

Volunteer to cook at a hospice. Visit a V.A. hospital or a nursing home. You don't even have to talk, you can listen to what someone has to say. Really listen. Even if the words make no sense, just listen.

Send a card to a shut in. Write a short note inside. Call a shut in. Tell them you were thinking of them and listen to them talk.

Tomorrow is Mother's birthday. She will be 85. She wants a non birthday. I already made her a card and got her a little gift.

I hope the home aids start soon. She is wore out. I think that I am going to have someone start helping her with her housework. That would be good a couple of days a week. I'll look into it.

Have a good night.

Phyllis

P.S. A coworker of mine has been involved in a serious motor vehicle accident. I am asking you again for prayers and good thoughts sent her way. I am sure that C. will appreciate your help.
