We have just returned from the store and we are having our regular disagreement bout the speed limit. If the speed limit is posted at 65 mph than the speed limit is 65 mph. James is under the misconception that if the speed limit is posted at 65 mph than you are allowed to drive 77 mph. 12 miles over the posted limit.
I can understand the "go with flow" logic. If the car in front of you is going 80 than you could go 80 mph and if you were stopped for speeding you just say "I was going with the flow." I'm sorry but I may understand what you are telling me but I don't have to agree.
Also, if you are getting off at an exit ramp why do people speed up to pass the line that is waiting to exit and cut the line at the front. That annoys me to no end. You can see the line to get off and you know that if you cut that it is going to cause the person that you are cutting to have a really rotten morning. Usually you have already waited in the darn line for 10 to 15 minutes and then someone cuts you and you are saying words that you did not even know that you knew.
The best thing that I ever saw when you are stopped in a traffic jam on any 2 lane road is the rolling roadblock that the tractor trailers do. That is genius. Two tractor trailers get next to each other and go about 5 miles per hour. They let all the traffic in front of them clear out and then politely one goes through and than the other. We have tried it with our SUV and some so and so still speeds up on the right side and tries to cut the line. I guess you have to be hauling a trailer with your tractor to block the road efficiently.
If you live in a snow area one thing that I am sure drives you crazy is someone who clears the snow off of their windshield just enough to see out. They do not clear the top of the vehicle or the back window of snow so that when they get on the expressway and are driving 65 the snow and ice are flying off and hitting your car.
At least the holidays are over. Now people are not trying to run you over to get a parking place.
JW is still doing ok. Mother has a really bad cold and we have taken care of their meals for the day. I told her that I would take care of dinner tomorrow also. Her birthday is Wednesday and I got her a Hallmark® bracelet with a little girl on it. She will be 85. One day at a time.
Have a great night. Phyllis
